New York-based women’s contemporary clothing brand Hutch this week expanded into swimwear.

“Swimwear has always been an avenue we wanted to explore, so we felt the timing was perfect for us to dive into it. With this debut collection our vision was to create elevated staples that transcend typical beach or poolside attire. We have always been passionate about fostering inclusivity throughout the design process, ensuring that every piece caters to a diverse range of body types. At Hutch, our commitment to inclusivity is unwavering. There truly is something for everyone, fostering confidence in every individual who wears it,” Hutch owner and creative director Daniel Saponaro told WWD.

The Hutch Swim collection offers sizes XS to 3X in a range of silhouettes. The line includes 34 styles across one-piece suits, matching bikinis and cover-up styles and is available through the brand’s and Anthropologie’s e-commerce platforms.

“Hutch Swim features a range of our signature prints, such as florals, tropical patterns, metallics and vibrant colors, enhanced by tortoise shell acrylic rings, side ties and belt accents. The bottoms are available in various cuts, including high- and low-waisted options, offering full to medium coverage. The matching bikini tops feature bandeau, halter, traditional triangle styles, pushups and underwires,” Saponaro said of the lineup, which is priced $75 to $198 for swimwear and $158 to $219 for cover-ups.

Highlights of the lineup include the Zenna scoop-neck maillot with ruched details and detachable belt, the Cyprus string bikini (including in florals, or metallic foil), the belted bustier-style Roxy one-piece and a handful of sequin mesh cover-ups (including the Mcrae bell-sleeve dress, Jackson duster and Campbell mini).

In the future, Saponaro said the brand plans to launch various swim collections on a seasonal basis, including a summer 2024 collection that is slated to release in April and May 2024.
