Sock and fashion accessory brand Balenzia has teamed up with lifestyle brand Playboy to launch a collection of graphic socks. The collection goes live on November 2 for the Diwali season.
“Balenzia and Playboy are both symbolic of sophistication, art, music, and culture, each with its own unique legacy,” said Balenzia’s director Rahul Gupta in a press release. “Playboy has entertained, advocated for self-expression, and championed personal freedom for nearly decades. Balenzia, in turn, has stood for high-quality craftsmanship and innovation in the world of fashion accessories… This collaboration signifies our commitment to creating a culture where everyone, from the emerging to the legendary, can indulge in the joy of self-expression and celebrate their unique identity.”
Designed to blend the essence of both brands, the collaborative collection features the classic Playboy ‘bunny’ logo along with its brand name and playing card style graphics, all set against a black backdrop. The line includes crew, low-cut, and high-ankle socks from Balenzia’s premium collection, according to the brand.
“In this collection, you’ll find a spectrum that ranges from the sophisticated to the playful, capturing the spirit of contemporary culture,” said Gupta. “It’s a pleasure for all, and it’s an embodiment of what both Balenzia and Playboy stand for – a journey where the world truly is your playground.”
Balenzia specialises in licensed graphic accessories and has a portfolio of over 70 licenses from franchises including Marvel, Cartoon Network, Disney, and Warner Bros among others. The business retails from its direct to customer e-commerce store and brick-and-mortar outlets.
